Content strategy and content marketing are frequently used interchangeably. However, as you'll see below, they're not the same thing.
What is Content Strategy?
Content strategy refers to the master plan you have for every piece of content related to your business.
Ask yourself these questions.
1. Why are we creating this content?
2. What audiences do we want to address?
3. What kind of actions and reactions do we want to achieve?
4. How will we promote the content once it’s published?
5. How will our audience find our content?
6. What types of content do you plan to create?
7. Where and when will you be publishing your content?
8. Who is in charge of creating your content?
9. How will you maintain your brand style across various platforms?
What is Content Marketing?
Content marketing is a strategic marketing method that focuses on developing and distributing valuable, relevant, and consistent content to attract and maintain a specific audience.
That includes content in the form of:
1. Blog posts
2. Case studies
3. Social media posts
4. eBooks
5. Articles
6. Infographics
7. Videos
8. Landing page copy
9. Email marketing copy
Get your Content Strategy done before your Content Marketing. By simply creating content and distributing it, you may miss out on great opportunities.
